Cafwyd canlyniad rhwystredig unwaith eto pan gafwyd gem gyfartal yn Whitchurch nos Fawrth. Ddaru Cymric neud mwy na digon i gymryd y tri phwynt gyda golwr a phostyn Whitchurch yn sicrhau y bysant ond yn gadael gyda phwynt. Dechreuodd Cymric yn dda a fu bron iddynt fynd ar y blaen ar ôl 4 munud pan gymrodd Dylan Roberts gic rydd yn sydyn a tharo’r postyn gyda’i ergyd o 35 llath gyda’r golwr yn sownd ar ei lein. Cawsant gyfle arall ar ôl 11 munud pan ddaru Rhodri Dafydd dderbyn y bel mewn safle da and cafodd ei ergyd ei harbed yn dda. Ddaru’r ddau dîm ganslo ei gilydd allan ar gae called ac anodd i chwarae arno ac roedd cyfleoedd yn brin iawn. Fe ddaeth cyfle nesaf Cymric ar ôl 37 munud pan saethodd Rhodri Dafydd drosodd o 20 llath. Aeth Cymric i mewn i’r egwyl yn rhwystredig gan nad oedd Whitchurch wedi creu unrhyw gyfle o werth yn ystod yr hanner.
Dechreuodd Cymric yr ail hanner yn well a dylant wedi mynd ar y blaen ar ôl 48 munud. Gwelwyd cyd-chwarae da lawr y dde gyda Ryan David yn croesi ond methodd Rhodri Williams y bel ar y postyn agosaf a rhedodd y bel at Huw Owen ar y postyn pellaf ond llywiodd hi heibio’r postyn o 4 llath. Cafodd Whitchurch eu cyfle cyntaf ar ôl 50 munud pan ddaru pêl dda lawr y dde ddod o hyd i’r asgellwr a thynnodd yn bêl nol at ei gyd-chwaraewr ond aeth ei ergyd dros y bar o 12 llath. Aeth Whitchurch ar y blaen ar ôl 52 munud ar ôl i chwarae slopi iawn gan Ryan David tu mewn i gwrt cosbi Cymric gael ei neidio arni a tharwyd ergyd dda a gurodd Dafydd Edwards ar ei bostyn agosaf. Cafodd Whitchurch gyfle arall 3 munud yn ddiweddarach ar ôl i’r asgellwr wneud rhediad da lawr y dde ond aeth ei gynnig heibio’r postyn. Roedd Cymric yn parhau i ymosod i geisio cael gafael ar y gêm a fu bron iddynt unioni ar ôl 73 munud ond gaeth peniad Aled Hughes o gic rydd ei safio’n wych gan y golwr. Ond, ar ôl dyfalbarhau fe gafwyd y gôl bwysig i unioni’r sgôr ar ôl 78 munud, ar ôl gwaith da lawr y dde croesodd Huw Owen y bel i’r canol ac yna roedd Rhodri Williams i daro cic siswrn ar y foli i gefn y rhwyd o 12 llath. Aeth Cymric ati wedyn i reoli’r gêm ac i geisio cael y gôl allweddol i ennill y gêm. Ni chafwyd cyfle o nod hyd nes amser a ychwanegwyd am anafiadau. Ddaru pêl hir o’r cefn greu ychydig o ddryswch yn amddiffyn Whitchurch a disgynnodd y bel i Steve Cope ar ochor y cwrt ond method gysylltu gyda’i foli yn iawn. Rhedodd y bel at Huw Owen a tharodd ergyd ffyrnig oedd yn saethu yn syth at gornel ucha’r gol cyn i’r golwr gael blaen ei fysedd at y bel a’r gwyro dros y bar.

Clwb Cymric were frustrated once again when they were held to a 1-1 draw away at Whithcurch on Tuesday night. They did more than enough to take all three points with the Whitchurch woodwork and goalkeeper making sure they only took away a point. Cymric started well and nearly took the lead on 4 minutes when Dylan Roberts took a quick free kick and blasted the ball against the Whitchurch post from fully 35 yards with the keeper stranded. They had another chance on 11 minutes when Rhodri Jones found himself in space but his effort was well saved. Both teams cancelled each other out on a difficult, hard surface to play on and chances were few and far between. Cymric’s next effort came on 37 minutes when Rhodri Jones fired over from 20 yards. Cymric went into the break frustrated as Whitchurch hadn’t created a single chance of note during the half.
Cymric started the second half with more intensity and should have taken the lead on 48 minutes. Some great work down the right led to Ryan David crossing the ball but Rhodri Williams missed the ball on the near post and the ball ran to Huw Owen on the far post who guided the ball wide from 4yds. Whitchurch’s first effort of the match came on 50 minutes when a great ball down the right channel found the winger and his pull back found his team mate but his effort went over the bar from 12 yards. Whitchurch took the lead on 52 minutes when some sloppy play by Ryan David just inside Cymric’s area was pounced on and the first time shot beat Dafydd Edwards at his near post. Whitchurch had another chance 3 minutes later when the winger made a great run down the right and his effort went just wide of the goal. Cymric continued to attack and try and get back in the match and they nearly did so on 73 minutes when Aled Hughes’ header from a free kick was excellently tipped over the bar by the Whitchurch keeper. Their persistence paid off 5 minutes later when some good work down the right saw Huw Owen cross the ball which was met by Rhodri Williams and his scissor kick found the net from 12 yards. Cymric then took control of the match and went looking for the winner. They were restricted but nearly took all three points in stoppage time. A long ball from the back caused some confusion in the Whitchurch defence and the ball dropped to Steve Cope who miss hit his volley on the edge of the area. The ball then ran to Huw Owen who struck a fantastic effort towards the top corner only for the keeper to somehow get his fingertips to the ball and push it over the bar.
